This week ended with a networking event for #femalefilmmakerfriday

Filmmaking can be a search for a compelling story. I saw Tolkien and how fantasy storytelling unfolded to deal with the harshness of reality. But his storytelling got better with his wife, Edith.

I saw Avengers Endgame. It was an epic generation that spans 22 movies of our main 6 characters. Anthony and Joe Russo storytelling got better because they partnered up with diverse storytellers that brought out new heros in Black Panther and Captain Marvel. The Russo brothers had a lunch with their screenwriters arguing & laughing about movie theory time travel.

The unicorn is the rare luck to meet your true collaborators who support your creativity and call your bullshit over lunch with a smile. It has been a very special week.
